Auditor Resignation – Nothing to do with Audit Exemption Nov 2023

When an auditor resigns under the Companies Act 2014 and the resignation is nothing to do with audit exemption, there are three letters required under the Companies Act 2014

  1. A letter is sent on the auditor’s headed note paper to the company notifying the company of the intention to resign as auditor.
  2. A copy of the letter at #1 is forwarded to the Companies Registration Office.
  3. A copy of the letter at #1 is forwarded to the IAASA.
